The United Nations delegation of Pakistan represent and hope to support many issues and the globes most pressing problems in the hope to have other countries and NGO’s support each other in solving many issues. Specific issues that we hope to bring forward include Pakistans’ environmental issues, terrorist threats, drugs and crime, and the current refugee crisis.

Pakistan has many environmental issues causing the country to be one of the most polluted countries in the world. Some of Pakistan’s problems are pollution in fresh and marine water, air, and noise pollution. Deforestation is another major damaging environmental issue facing Pakistan. The government is currently lacking resources to help restore our beautiful country to its former glory. We will support NGO and UN resolutions that provide governments financial resources to invest in clean drinking water for everyone in our region.

Pakistan has been at the center of the global terrorism threat. Today's issues effect not only Pakistanis but every country on earth. Global organizations like the Taliban and Al-Qaeda, ISIS/ISIL and regional influences like Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and the Turkestan Islamic Party, threaten the stability of many governments and cause widespread deaths throughout our region. The Pakistani military has been fighting in the mountains of Waziristan better known as North West Pakistan. We will be looking for continued UN support and assistance in negotiations for a preferable peace agreement as part of our UN Reform goals. We also will continue to work toward the capture and war crime trials of terrorist leaders. International support as our economy suffers will be a top priority during this Conference.

Pakistan unfortunately has been forced to support excessive production and proliferation of conventional weapons due to the military instability in our region. The government is aware of these issues and is taking measures to support disarmament and nonproliferation within the entire region. We are supportive of efforts to increase tolerance and find conflict resolutions. The Pakistani government is asking for the peace-building committee to be utilized for help in negotiating and brokering peace between nations with disputes while supporting Internationally recognized official Governments in maintaining control of their countries.

The Kashmir region conflict is the largest single global issue facing Pakistan. Negotiations have failed to create any permanent or meaningful actions to support Kashmir fighters. While the entire International community condemns the illegal claiming if Kashmir by India, no agreement has been brokered. We call on immediate economic and political sanctions by major countries who support the UN charter and the definition of Sovereignty in this continued conflict. Refugees from this conflict approximate over 3 million individuals who could return to their homes and maintain their own livelihoods IF the United Nations would push for action in Kashmir. More than 600,000 refugees have been denied access to other countries while governments are still arguing that it is too expensive to get involved. We call on this Conference to take actions to solve the Kashmir crisis, return people to their homes and support Pakistans historical and legal claim to this disputed territory.

In conclusion, Pakistan is hoping for the support and funds to assist our people and defend our livelihoods.  Furthermore, Pakistan will also help and support our allies, to the best of our ability. Thank you for listening and being considerate of our issues, the government of Pakistan is grateful to be here and represent our home land. We hope this will be a successful United Nations.
